The Department of Recreation and Health Care
Management was established at Chia Nan
University of Pharmacy and
Science in August 1999. Since then,
the Department began to focus on three major
areas of concentration: recreation studies,
health care management, and leaders of
tomorrow in recreational industry.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Recreation and
Health Care Management is to cultivate managers
in the recreation industry. The program provides
practical and professional curriculum and
training for students realizing their future
career; including managing, therapeutic,
cultural, and environmental knowledge and
skills. The goal of the
program is to help students to successfully
serve as managers of the recreation industry.
Our Program
The Department of Recreation and Health Care
Management offered three graduate
programs：2-year Bachelor’s degree programs,
4-year Bachelor’s degree programs, and
School of Continuing Education 2-year and
4-year on-the-job further study programs
Faculty and Staff
The Department of Recreation and Health Care
Management has twenty-three full-time faculties
include one professor, three associate
professors, twelve assistant professors, and
seven instructors.
Facility
The Department of Recreation and Health Care
Management has four main faculties include Hot
Spring Research Center, Spa Center, Wellness
Center, and Recreational Industry Research
Center.
